NICOTRAX FAQS

Nicotrax FAQ

THE BASICS

What is the Nicotrax quit program?

The Nicotrax quit program combines the most effective clinical treatments into one simplified, digital program to help you quit smoking. We create a custom program just for you, match you with a virtual counslor and small team of peers for support, and help you along your path to quit.

How is the program structured?

The Nicotrax quit program is organized into 10 weeks of dedicated involvement followed by several weeks of involvement at your own pace. During the first 10 weeks, participants complete weekly lessons, record their nicotine habit, communicate regularly with their support team and counselor, and practice what they learn, all through our easy-to-use mobile app.

THE PROGRAM

How do I track my nicotine habits?

You can track your nicotine habits such as cigarette consumption, cravings, and medication usage right from within the Nicotrax mobile app. By tracking your usage every day, you can help Nicotrax understand how best to help you quit.

How do I get in touch with my counselor?

You can message your conselor right from within the Nicotrax app. Our counselors can help you through challenges, provide support, and give daily guidance.

What are the lessons like?

Each week, a new lesson unlocks in the Nicotrax app. Because Nicotrax is a lifestyle program and not a quick fix, our lessons focus on whole life changes, including stress management, time management, and problem-solving skills. Participants complete lessons by reading the content for the week and answering short questions and one group discussion question. This typically takes about 30 minutes per week. The lessons also contain links to optional research and articles that Nicotrax participants can read for more information.

TIME COMMITMENT

What is the time commitment for the Nicotrax program?

Participation in the Nicotrax quit program requires 10 weeks of dedicated involvement followed by several weeks of involvement at your own pace. During the first 10 weeks, participants complete weekly lessons, record their nicotine habit, communicate regularly with their support team and counselor, and practice what they learn. This can take 2-3 hours per week on average, although it can take more time and the time spent implementing lifestyle changes is difficult to measure. Fortunately, the mobile format means the time you spend can easily adapt to your schedule.

The Nicotrax app is available to you at all times. We're depending on you to track your habit and interact with your team, as we've found that habitual changes require time and motivation!

How much time should I set aside for the first day? For the rest of the program?

Fortunately, the mobile format means the time you spend can easily adapt to your schedule.
